Healthy breakfast ideas

As we are officially counting down till the season of Xmas Parties and food overdose, I decided to take it easy on fattening meals till then..

During the week, I’ll be sharing with you healthy and interesting breakfast recipes, and I’ll continue with lunch and dinner the following weeks..

 

Monday

Porridge

Make your usual oatmeal porridge and top it up with blueberries, banana, goji berries, walnuts and tahini paste! Healthy and filling!

Tuesday

Poached egg on rye bread

There is nothing better than starting up your day with a protein breakfast.Cook your egg as you like and put it on top of pumpernickel bread and low fat turkey ham.

Wednesday

Overnight chia and oats bowl

That’s an easy and tasty alternative to porridge. Overnight chia seeds and quaker oats topped with peanutbutter and honey

COMBINE almond milk, oats, chia seeds, honey, vanilla and dried fruit in a jar.

STIR well, then cover and refrigerate overnight.

BEFORE serving, top with banana and almonds

or as in my case..peanut butter and agave syrup..

Thursday

Green Smoothie

Green vegetable smoothie drink

Green smoothie made with:

Almond milk (200ml)

Spinach or kale (a handful)

5 almonds

1/2 cucumber

1 tbsp of tahini paste or peanut butter

Friday

Peanut butter on toast

Saturday

Eggs Royale

Sunday

Jamaican porridge

Food of the world.. Today I’m trying a Jamaican version of porridge.. mix1 cup of cornmeal with soya milk and water add nutmeg and cinnamon and top it up with golden syrup 😋#Jamaican#jamaicanfood#Sunday#sundaybreakfast

1 cup cornmeal

4 cups water

1 cup soya milk

1teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon nutmeg or all spices

vanilla extract

Mix cornmeal with 1 cup of water

Bring the rest of the water and the milk to a boil

Str in the cornmeal, salt, spices and vanilla

Stir for 10-12 mins
